Please note this table is a reproduction. The Noguchi Table balances delicacy with sturdy, solid-wood and glass construction comprised of just three simple pieces. A 3/4-inch plate-glass top rests on two curved, solid wood legs that interlock to form a tripod for self-stabilizing support. This delicate balance is not surprising, given that from 1942 until his death in 1988, Noguchi designed all of choreographer Martha Graham's sets. Although it looks delicate, it is solid, perfectly balanced and durable. The signature interlocking wood base offers a fresh perspective from every angle while the thick glass-top is made to withstand everyday wear and tear. Designed in 1948 by sculptor Isamu Noguchi, this table is still coveted today because of its generous and playful curvaceous lines, which catch the eye and invite interaction.
